About the Position

NeuroDiagnostics Medical, P.C. is seeking an experienced, motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our high-volume outpatient Neurology and Physical Medicine practice.
This is a full-time, multi-site clinical position serving patients throughout Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Long Island. The selected clinician must be comfortable independently managing a high volume of established-patient follow-up visits, while promptly staffing medically complex cases with the attending physician.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Independently evaluate and manage approximately high volume of established-patient follow-up visits per day, within the clinician’s scope of practice and applicable New York State requirements.
  • Obtain interval histories; perform focused neurologic, musculoskeletal, and relevant physical examinations; reconcile medications; and document clinically appropriate assessments and plans.
  • Complete accurate, thorough, same-day documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Review relevant imaging, laboratory studies, electrodiagnostic studies, and other diagnostic results in preparation for patient management and attending physician review, as appropriate.
  • Staff complex, medically significant, diagnostically unclear, or treatment-resistant cases with the attending physician.
  • Coordinate physician-directed referrals, diagnostic testing, follow-up care, treatment recommendations, and patient education.
  • Prepare and complete clinical forms, disability documentation, FMLA paperwork, Workers’ Compensation forms, letters, and related patient-care documentation as clinically appropriate.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, families, referring providers, attorneys’ offices, insurers, and practice staff.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all practice policies, professional standards, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, active, and unrestricted New York State license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
  • National certification appropriate to the applicant’s professional designation.
  • Ability to independently manage a high-volume outpatient follow-up schedule efficiently and safely.
  • Strong clinical judgment, written communication skills, and proficiency with electronic medical records.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Neurology, Physical Medicine, Orthopedic, rehabilitation, and injury-related practice setting.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to all practice locations, including Long Island and Staten Island.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior outpatient experience in Neurology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Occupational Medicine.
  • Experience with neurologic examinations, musculoskeletal examinations, concussion/TBI care, headache management, spine-related conditions, and disability documentation.
  • Fluency in Spanish.

Schedule and Locations

  • Full-time position.
  • Typical hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Outpatient practice setting.
  • Travel among office locations in Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Long Island is required.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual gross salary: $108,000–$132,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, productivity, and clinical skill set.
